Luv Ranjan Introduces Six New Faces in Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar

Filmmaker Luv Ranjan has unveiled the first look of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar. The upcoming friendship-comedy introduces six new actors to Hindi cinema. The film will release worldwide in cinemas on October 23, 2026.

The six newcomers are Alisha Chopra, Sparsh Walia, Sakshi Vaidya, Kunal Vaid, Sargun Kaur Luthra and Tushar Chhibber. All six actors will make their big-screen acting debuts with the film.

The first-look poster brings the six actors together in a colourful setting. Their playful poses give the film a young and energetic feel. The poster also marks the official introduction of the new cast ahead of the film’s promotional campaign.

The makers describe Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar as a friendship-comedy. The promotional line focuses on old crushes, troublesome friends and first love. It also hints at relationship drama and red flags.

Anuj Saini will direct the film. The project also marks his directorial debut. Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg are producing the movie under the Luv Films banner.

Luv Ranjan has a long association with youth-focused Hindi films. He started his directing career with Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011. The film followed three young bachelors and their experiences with relationships.

He later directed Akaash Vani in 2013 and returned with Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 in 2015. The sequel continued his focus on relationships and friendship.

In 2018, Ranjan directed Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Sunny Singh. The film became one of his major commercial successes and further established his style of mixing friendship, romance and comedy.

Ranjan later directed Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The romantic comedy reached cinemas in March 2023.

Alongside directing, Ranjan has also produced several films through Luv Films. His production credits include De De Pyaar De, Malang, Chhalaang, Vadh, Kuttey and Wild Wild Punjab.

Now, Ranjan is returning to a young ensemble with Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar. This time, the project puts six newcomers at the centre of the story. The makers are expected to reveal more details about the characters, songs and trailer before the theatrical release.
