Jack takes advantage of it and passes off their songs as his own which also gets him astronomical fame. Yesterday makes for a good watch with some of the classic The Beatles hits plays throughout the film. The movie stars Himesh Patel, Lily James and Ed Sheeran in pivotal roles.
2. Dial 100 – Zee5
A thrilling crime saga about officer Nikhil who in the control room gets a call from a woman who threatens to commit suicide. But as Nikhil tries to get to the bottom of the situation, he realises that things aren’t as straightforward as it seems. Dial 100 is a gripping thriller that will keep you hooked throughout its crisp runtime. It stars Manoj Bajpayee and Neena Gupta in the lead.
3. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara – Netflix
Satisfy your wanderlust with this Bollywood film that takes you on probably the most scenic route of Spain. The story follows three childhood friends, Kabir, Imran and Arjun who reunite for a bachelor trip before Kabir gets married. The three set up a few death-defying activities that the other two must comply with. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara ultimately becomes a film about self-discovery and second chances. The ensemble cast includes Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin and Katrina Kaif in the lead
4. Home – Alt Balaji
Created by Ekta Kapoor, Home revolves around a typical middle-class Sethi family that is true to their values and often finds happiness in the smallest things. But things get complicated when they are unfairly served an eviction notice by the authorities which the family decides to fight. Home is all about how one family stands united to fight the system and features some talented performances from Annu Kapoor, Amol Parashar and Shriya Pilgaonkar.
5. Bo Burnham: Inside – Netflix
I saw this Netflix comedy special just a few days ago and cannot stress how much of an enjoyable experience it was. Shooting a comedy special without an audience is always tricky, you never know whether the jokes will land or not, but there isn’t any such problem with Bo Burnham. Simply because he doesn’t care. This special will take you on his gradual descent into madness as he grooves on songs from sexting to finding the meaning of the world and even Jeff Bezos all while being locked up inside his house. An absolute Pandemic-era showpiece.
