With a portfolio stacked with movies and a career spanning nearly 30 years that only keeps booming, Jennifer Garner has secured a spot among the film industry’s most cherished stars. It features Bob Pickler, a 15-year winner of the Iowa State Fair butter sculpture contest. This time, the contest organizers requested him to skip the competition in order to give others a chance to win. This triggered his wife Laura’s rage, and after she realized that Bob wasn’t bothered by the matter, she decided to enter the contest on her own. However, it is going to be a tough competition: her opponents are an extremely talented 10-year-old girl and an exotic dancer with whom her husband cheated on her. Still, Laura is willing to do whatever it takes to establish herself as this year’s winner.

That’s the setting for The Invention of Lying: there is no such thing as lying, and everyone is completely honest about their feelings and thoughts. One day, struggling screenwriter Mark develops the ability to lie, and realizes that by doing so, he can achieve the life of his dreams. However, lying is not all there is to life: in order to win over the woman of his dreams, he must be totally honest. The Invention of Lying was Ricky Gervais and Matthew Robinson’s feature film directorial debut. Gervais also stars in this 2009 production alongside Garner, Jonah Hill, Louis C.K., Rob Lowe, and Tina Fey, among others.

Yes Day is a 2021 family film directed by Miguel Arteta and starring Jennifer Garner, Edgar Ramirez, and Jenna Ortega. It is inspired by the children’s book of the same name by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld. Yes Day follows Allison and Carlos, a perfect couple who, over the past few years, have become overly strict with their lives and, more importantly, with their three children. In order to change things around, they grant the kids a Yes Day: 24 hours in which they both have to say yes to anything they ask for. And, against Allison and Miguel’s expectations, this new tradition is going to totally reshape the family. A sequel to this production is currently in development.

Valentine’s Day explores love through ten different romantic stories that, in one way or another, are interconnected. It was directed by Garry Marshall and starred an ensemble cast featuring Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Alba, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, and Hector Elizondo, among many others. This 2010 rom-com marked singer Taylor Swift’s acting debut and became a huge box-office hit, even though it was not as critically acclaimed.

Jennifer Garner stars as a call girl named Cheryl Ann, who seduces Frank in a hotel. Joining DiCaprio, Hanks, and Garner in the cast are Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen, Nathalie Baye, and Amy Adams.

13 Going on 30 is, so far, Jennifer Garner’s most memorable comedy film. Released in 2004 and directed by Gary Winick, this production follows Jenna, a 13-year-old girl whose only dream is to be popular. After being humiliated by her schoolmates on her birthday, she wishes to be 30 years old, and soon after, Jenna wakes up in 2004 as a successful adult woman. However, there’s a big problem: the adult world is far from what she had hoped for. Joining Garner in this rom-com are Mark Ruffalo, Judy Greer, and Andy Serkis. 13 Going on 30 earned rave reviews and also became a box-office hit.
