Simple Aag Ond Love Story

This was the film that made Rakshit Shetty arrive with a big bang in the Kannada industry getting him a breakthrough. This heavy dialogue-oriented film had the audience glued to the film for a different kind of love story. Just a few actors in the film, Rakshit Shetty scored immensely as an actor proving he is an able performer and the appreciation he got meant he is here to stay. Playing the role of Kushal in search of love and encountering a stranger mistaking to be someone else but still getting intrigued by the opposite person and eventually falling in love with her, were accepted by the audience.

Ulidavaru Kandante

Rakshit Shetty plays Richard Anthony, a ruthless young guy who works for a local leader in the Malpe region. This role is a favorite of all Rakshit Shetty fans and has a cult following and this was a shocking portrayal of Rakshit in ‘Simple Aag Ond Love Story’ to a gangster in ‘Ulidavaru Kandante’. Also being the directorial debut of Rakshit Shetty, the film and the character Richard Anthony took its own time to make an impact on the audience. Rakshit gave a stunning performance and audiences around coastal Karnataka were connected to the film immensely. The raw action hero in Rakshit Shetty was just icing on the cake to see him in the film.

Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu

‘Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu’ is an emotional drama between a techie son Shiva and an Alzheimer’s patient and father Venkob Rao. Rakshit Shetty plays Shiva who has no time to take care of his father suffering from Alzheimer’s and leaves him in an old age home and visits his father whenever he visits Bangalore. When Shiva loses his father due to his carelessness and search for him he realizes the importance of his father and how hard he was as a person all his life! Rakshit plays the role of a very harsh son who goes in search of his father in this journey he realizes his love for his father and how much he misses him. Rakshit’s portrayal was a huge connection to all the youngsters who neglect their parents. The chemistry between Rakshit Shetty and Anant Nag was too brilliant for the audience to see two fantastic actors doing their job amazingly.

Kirik Party

‘Kirik Party’ showed Rakshit Shetty going through transitions in his character from a naughty student to a serious rebel. Rakshit Shetty playing the role of ‘Karna’ was a tough one as he knew there will be a comparison to Nivin Pauly’s George in ‘Premam’ but still Rakshit took it as a challenge and did his role with conviction. His sizzling chemistry with Rashmika worked wonders for the film and the journey the character goes in finding his soulmate won the audience’s hearts.

777 Charlie

In ‘777 Charlie’, Rakshit Shetty plays Dharma, a loner in a colony, who doesn’t socialize with anyone and is feared among the colony people. His life consists mainly of working at the factory, fighting, booze, smoking and watching Charlie Chaplin shows on TV. He is an orphan, whose parents and sister died in a car crash caused by a dog and thereby leads a monotonous life. How his life goes a big change when a dog named Charlie enters his life. This is one of the huge emotional roles ever played by Rakshit where he keeps showing sadness and pain with his eyes. The chemistry he shares with the dog endeared the audience which was an emotional journey throughout the film. Rakshit gave a stellar performance making the audience weep along with him in the film.
