Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is one of the most current shows on Star Plus. The fandom is divided into two groups, AkshNav and AbhiRa. Over the past few months, the two fans have been feuding with each other on social media. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai creator Rajan Shahi spoke at length about the huge criticism of the show and the delayed reunion of Abhimanyu and Akshara. He told India Forums that the show is made for the audience and criticism is as important as praise. He said the team saw how extreme people can be on social media. Rajan Shahi was quoted as saying, “A significant section of the public needs to be more vocal and active on social media; however, when we meet them, they are hot when we cross the country, when they meet us.’
Rajan Shahi on Boycott DKP Trends
He said the response of both audiences mattered, those who were on Twitter and those who watched it in person and were inactive. Shahi said he has full respect for both categories. He said he wanted appreciation from both fans. Fans are in a frenzy over how Abhimanyu’s character was ‘slaughtered’ and the writers brought Abhinav (J Soni) and Akshara closer together in the show. He was quoted as saying, “From Akshara and Naitik to Karthik and Naira, the criticism was always there for certain things. During Karthik and Naira’s time, digital came to the fore so much that things got louder. We have gone through a phase where people would lean towards “Boycott DKP”.
On Jay Sonny’s exit from the show
He said some like Abhinav’s (J Soni) entry but others are against it. Rajan Shahi said that the character’s arc is more or less predetermined. He said it is taking longer because people love Abhinav Sharma in the show. He said that every show reaches a point of stagnation after a certain period of time, Shahi said that this is necessary to give momentum to the story. He told the portal, “A significant section of the audience is reaching out to us and telling us that they don’t want Abhinav to go. However, this was all planned and at the right time; its exit happened because the next level of storytelling will be more interesting because of this exit.”
Rajan Shahi on trolls
The manufacturer said it is aware of any type of reaction or reaction. He clarified that he was very aware. But he said he refrains from using the word “trolls” and prefers reactions/reactors instead. Shahi said he doesn’t believe in responding to some of the vile comments. He said he expects more reactions with the upcoming songs. He was quoted as saying, “More than the good part, I always listen and remember the complaint. There will still be a story to be told that needs to be told in a certain way.”
