The France star spoke to the media following his country’s 3-1 last-16 win over Poland on Sunday
He said: “I know there have been a lot of questions about why I’m not talking. Now for all the journalists that are there, it was nothing personal against the journalists, nothing against the people.
“I just always have this need to concentrate on my race and when I want to concentrate on something, I have to do it 100 percent and not waste energy on something else. That’s why I didn’t want to introduce myself (to the press).
“I recently learned that the Federation (French Football Association) will impose a fine. I undertake to pay it personally, the Federation should not pay a decision that is personal.
