Will they break the box office records of KGF 2 and Kantara? That’s why the odds are in their favor

Kannada movies took off and how. KGF Chapter 1in 2018, was only the tip of the iceberg, as 2022 turned out to be the appearance of KAnnada Film Industry joining the big leagues of Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywoodwith the pan-Indian and global hit success of KGF 2 and Scale. The common factor between all these three innovative Kannada Movies and the only reason why Kannada cinema finally left an indelible mark on the map of Indian cinema Hombale movies, the production house behind all the aforementioned films. And now Hombale Films looks set to increase its success further with its upcoming releases like Prabhas lead Lettuce and Fahad Faasil lead Dhoom.

KGF 2 and Kantara box office records for Hombale Films

As mentioned before, KGF 1 just set the ball rolling Kannada Movies, KGF Chapter 2 started setting records from the moment its teaser dropped, followed by several milestones at the box office, including fastest to ₹100, ₹200 and ₹300 crores, along with currently being the third highest grossing Indian film at all time worldwide, which goes with 29 other box office records. Hombale Films followed up KGF 2 with Kantara this year itself, which managed to secure more footfall than the two KGF and KGF 2 in Karnataka on track to be the third highest grosser Southern movie from 2022 after RRR and KGF 2, something that no one, not even possibly the head honchos and staff of Hombale would have guessed possible before its release.

Salaar, Dhoomam, Bagheera will bring more box office fame

Now it looks like Hombale Films dream will continue with their upcoming big screen releases including Salaar, Dhoomam and Bagira. While the former has all the makings to finally be Prabhas back to his superstar ways at the box office, Dhoomam could also finally elevate Fahadh Faasil to pan-India star status, while the latter could be the silent killer, the next Kantara for the studio. Anyway, it seems Hombale is ready to take on both Kannada cinema and South Film Industry generally to greater heights.
