For a decade and a half, MS Dhoni was known as the man with the midas touch in both international cricket and on IPL, so much so that his absence is still felt in cricketing circles, especially in limited overs international cricket. Well, it seems Donnie is now focusing his energies on bringing the same Midas Touch to cinema as the ace wicketkeeper batsman and one of the greatest cricket captains of all time looks set to launch his production house, Dhoni Entertainment (started with his wife, Sakshi Singh Rawat Also known as Sakshi Dhoni), full scale forward in mainstream films, especially in the production of Southern movies in tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages.

It has long been speculated that MS Dhoni is keen to venture into commercial film production and the rumors now seem to be coming true. According to a report in entertainment news website LetsCinema, Dhoni and his wife Sakshi are all set to launch a new branch of Dhoni Entertainment in the South with the sole aim of producing mainstream Southern movie. The portal tweeted, “Dhoni has launched his film production company down south ‘Dhoni Entertainment’ to produce films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.” Watch it below:

It is hardly surprising that Dhoni would start producing popular films for commercial entertainment with South given his long association with Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and its insane popularity, especially in the state Tamil Nadu. It remains to be seen which characters he will start working with in his film production but big names like Thalapathy Vijay, Dhanush, Suriya, Jr NTRRam Charan, Allu Arjun and others cannot be ruled out.
