It has been a year since Siddharth Shukla left for his heavenly abode. His untimely demise shocked his friends and colleagues in the industry to the core. As September 2 marks Siddharth’s death anniversary, we take a look at what his fellow Bigg Boss 13 contestant, colleague and ex-girlfriend Rashami Desai said about him after his death.
During their stint in Bigg Boss 13, Siddharth and Rashami had many fights. However, their love-hate relationship also gave us an insight into their loving chemistry and the kind of comfort they had with each other. They have worked together in Dil Se Dil Tak and soon there were rumors of their romance.
After learning about Siddharth’s death, Rashami was completely devastated. The actress, who has never included her professional commitments despite going through a lot of tough times in her life, canceled all promotions of her music video after getting the news of Sidharth’s demise.
Recalling how special Siddharth was to her, Rashami told TOI, “Siddharth was special, no doubt we fought, had problems but at the end of the day there was good friendship and we cared for each other. I could say a lot but this time I couldn’t go on. I planned not to participate in any promotional activities for the song. I am lucky that our producer Shahzeb Azad understood my situation and allowed me to grieve.”
On December 12 last year, Salman Khan remembered Siddharth while hosting Bigg Boss 15. “Today is the birthday of a Bigg Boss winner who is no longer with us. So, today’s episode is dedicated to you. The irreplaceable Siddharth Shukla. You left us too soon my friend. I miss you and wish you on this special day,” Dabangg Khan had said.
