Directed by Sasha King (Akron), this powerful documentary was selected as Best Irish Documentary by the Dublin Film Critics Circle at this year’s Dublin International Film Festival.

It was also nominated for the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) Human Rights Award at the festival.

Another chance to see this two-part documentary following famed comedian, actor and musician Billy Connelly.

With few alternatives, ice cream vans thrive and evolve to sell an array of goods, making so much money that they attract the attention of the city’s gangsters.

Mná na Talún follows four female farmers through the four seasons of a farming year in this four-part series.

Úna Ní Bhroin has spent 20 years building organic farm Beechlawn in Ballinasloe with her husband Pádraig, while Hannah Doherty is a young, enterprising sheep farmer on the Derry-Donegal border.

Bríd Ní hIcí aims to be as self-sufficient as possible – growing vegetables and pigs and goats on her smallholding in Gaoth Dobhair – and Clíona Ní Conghaile raises cattle in a traditional style in the unique landscape of Inis Mór, one of the most important areas of biodiversity in Ireland.

Here is the latest reboot of the much-loved Addams Family. And it’s about time Tim Burton got the chance to put his stylish stamp on the ghostly family.

Smart, sarcastic and a little dead inside, Wednesday Adams investigates a murder while making new friends – and enemies – at Nevermore Academy.

Jenna Ortega stars as Wednesday, while Catherine Zeta-Jones plays the mother, Morticia.

This should be fun.

Blood, Sex and Royalty, Netflix

Following The Crown, here are some more royal stories.

This docudrama promises to be a modern take on British royal drama, offering a window into the lives of history’s deadliest, sexiest and most iconic monarchs.

The central figure here is Anne Boleyn, who manages insidious sexual politics and rises to become Queen of England.

Echo 3, Apple TV+

This drama is based on the award-winning series When Heroes Fly, created by Omri Givon and inspired by Amir Gutfreund’s novel of the same name.

Set in South America, the action-packed thriller follows Amber Chesborough, a brilliant young scientist who is the emotional heart of a small American family.

When Amber goes missing along the Colombian-Venezuelan border, her brother Bambi and her husband Prince—two men with extensive military experience and complicated pasts—scramble to find her amid the explosion of a secret war.

Good night Opie, Prime Video

Narrated by Angela Bassett, this film follows Opportunity, the Mars Exploration Rover, affectionately named Oppy by its creators and NASA scientists.

Opie was originally expected to live only 90 days, but she ended up exploring Mars for nearly 15 years.
