You can find the answer this Wednesday, Feb. 15 as WBCA hosts the annual media/celebrity Jalapeño eating contest.
Set for 11 a.m. at El Metro Park & Ride, the contest will feature a number of local media members and celebrities competing to see how many jalapeños they can eat in five minutes.
Previous entrants have come from KGNS, Z93, Big Buck Country 98.1 and even a few from the Laredo Morning Times as well.
The event is a prelude to the real competition set to take place Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Jalpeño Festival.
The festival was originally formed in 1978 and will be celebrating its 45th anniversary during the 125th Washington’s Birthday Celebration.
The two-day festival kicks off on Friday, Feb. 17 at the El Metro Park & Ride and will include performances from Ramon Ayala, Randy Rogers Band Gerardo Oritz and SinSentido. On Saturday, Sonja de la Paz, Bronco and La Mafia are scheduled to perform.
