Business-to-customer shopping fair Vimonisha will hold a Festive Designer Exhibition from April 8 to 9 in Chennai. The womenswear themed event will take place at The Folly in Amethyst Boutique.
The upcoming edition of Vimonisha will feature product categories including ethnic wear, traditional wear, occasion wear, fusion wear, accessories, jewellery, and home décor among others, Event Always reported. The event will focus on bridal wear for the upcoming spring wedding and will feature brands in the bridge-to-luxury and premium segments of the market.
“There are two segments of buyers in any economy,” Vimonisha Exhibitions’ CEO Monisha Gidwani told the Deccan Chronicle about fashion fairs in 2023. “One is bargain hunters who will shop wherever they get a good deal; and the second, discerning, quality conscious clients who indulge in differentiated luxury brands. 2023 will see a lot more brand aggregation platforms, specialised niche marketing, and other experiential shopping behaviour. As a brand consultant, I advise my clients to communicate their USP and reinvent their brand offerings because the post-Covid consumer has evolved and believes in sustainable fashion, recycling, upcycling, and in the concept of less is more.”
Vimonisha has run fashion fairs for the past 30 years and specialises in promoting premium womenswear brands. The event is designed to give brands a platform to expand their customer base from and to offer an engaging shopping event for shoppers looking to discover new brands.
“We see our exhibitions and events being more about luxury and experience and solo shows for single brands,” said Gidwani. “People now want a safe environment to shop in and will only opt for select exclusive events rather than a big crowded 100-stall exhibition or mall.”
