Now, three years after the success of “Soorarai Pottru,” Suriya and Sudha Kongara are collaborating again on a new project under 2D Entertainment. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that acclaimed Hindi film actor Vijay Varma has been cast as the antagonist in Sudha Kongara’s upcoming untitled film. According to a source familiar with the project, Vijay Varma, known for his remarkable performances in films like “Darlings,” “Dahaad,” “Pink,” “Gully Boy,” “Super 30,” and more recently, “Lust Stories 2,” has established himself as a highly credible actor. His work has garnered praise and has drawn the attention of directors and producers for pan-Indian projects. This film with Suriya under Sudha Kongara’s direction marks Vijay Varma’s entry into the pan-Indian film arena.
While the specific details about Vijay’s character are being kept under wraps, it is confirmed that he will portray the antagonist in the movie. The film is set to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam.
Sudha Kongara, who has already completed most of her work on the official Hindi remake of “Soorarai Pottru” starring Akshay Kumar, is now preparing for her next project with Suriya. The untitled film is expected to begin shooting in November 2023.
