22 years ago, Utkarsh Sharma won hearts with his innocent portrayal of Jeete, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel aka Tara Singh and Sakeena’s son in the blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, helmed by his father Anil Sharma. Now, over two decades later, the actor is all set to revive his character but this time in a leading capacity for the film’s sequel Gadar 2 which will once again feature Tara and Sakeena as his parents. With the teaser of the sequel already hitting the digital space, Utkarsh Sharma opened up about the film’s teaser being attached to the upcoming Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan film Adipurush.

Talking about the big development of Gadar 2 teaser attached to Adipurush, which is releasing in over 6000 plus screens, Utkarsh said, “The teaser of Gadar 2 has been unanimously loved and appreciated by the audience and it has been trending on the social media ever since its launch. Since Adipurush has got such a wide release, the movie buffs will enjoy watching the teaser of Gadar 2 once again on the big screen as well.”
Going by the recently released teaser of Gadar 2, we can tell you that the film is set against the backdrop of 70s when Lahore in Pakistan was promoting the ‘Crush India Movement’. The makers recently planned a unique teaser launch by re-releasing Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) in 4K in theatres. While the theatrical release of the teaser was held on June 9, the digital version was unveiled on June 12.
The film will also see Sunny Deol performing some mind-blowing action sequences along with impactful dialogues. Gadar 2 sees the return of the lead cast of Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel with Anil Sharma returning as the director. The movie is scheduled to release on August 11, 2023 and it is expected to clash with Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal as well as Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2.
