According to the new rules, no user will be able to share photos or videos of anyone else without their consent. According to Twitter, the company made the move to stop the harassment. Twitter says the move has come to strengthen the anti-harassment policies.
Under Twitter’s new rules, people who are not public figures can ask to delete their photos or videos posted without the consent of the person depicted. However, Twitter has made it clear that the new rules exclude public figures. Twitter’s new policy also includes threatening to expose private information or incentivizing others to do so.

According to Twitter, sharing private photos and videos can violate a person’s privacy. Such actions may also cause emotional or physical harm. The company has said that Twitter will remove private photos or videos after getting a request to remove the media by the individual depicted or by an authorized representative.
Notably, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has resigned as CEO. Indian-origin Parag Agrawal has been appointed the new CEO after Dorsey’s resignation. Parag was a student of IIT-Bombay and Stanford University. Parag Agrawal has been working for Twitter since 2011. He was the CTO of the company since 2017.
