CNN releases tape of Trump showing classified military documents
Nearly a month after Donald Trump went on trial on a 38-count federal indictment against him and longtime aide Walt Nauta for allegedly illegally retaining national defense information and obstruction of justice, the former president’s co-defendant has pleaded not guilty to the charges for helping Mr. Trump hide classified documents from the government.
Mr. Nauta, a retired Navy chief petty officer who served as Mr. Trump’s White House valet before following him to Florida after the end of the Trump administration, has been charged on his own with one count of perjury to federal investigators.
Surveillance footage from the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach showed dozens of boxes being moved in the days before Justice Department investigators visited the resort to retrieve records.
The Justice Department released on Wednesday some of the previously blacked-out portions of a warrant application it filed last year to obtain permission to search the former president’s Florida estate for classified documents last summer.
“The video footage reflects that the evidence was recently moved,” prosecutors wrote in court records.

“He wanted to keep pretending he was president and showing these things to people and saying, ‘Look what I still have, look what I still know,'” Mr. Christie added.

Trump could be impeached in ex-FBI agent’s case, judge says
A federal judge ruled yesterday that Donald Trump can be subject to a deposition in the lawsuit filed by former FBI agent Peter Strzok against the Department of Justice.
Mr Strzok claimed his termination following the Russia investigation was the result of the former president’s personal vendetta against him.
The former FBI agent also claims the Justice Department illegally disclosed text messages he exchanged with former FBI attorney Lisa Page, who is also litigating the case.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson granted Mr. Trump’s motion to depose, given the limited scope of the deposition and the former president’s apparent availability for other ongoing civil cases as indicated by his schedule.
Mr Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
