Tiger Shroff said to REDUCE the fees by 50 percent after the failure of Heropanti 2 [Read Report]

Like many stars, Tiger Shroff too suffered a career setback in the pandemic. His last film Heropanti 2 was a complete disaster. The film was panned by critics and masses alike. Tiger Shroff increased his fee before the pandemic after the success of WAR and other films. According to Bollywood Hungama, he signed Ganapath for Rs 35 crore and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan for a whopping Rs 45 crore. His film with Karan Johar Screw Dheela also had Rs 35 crores as royalty. Well, this is certainly a high amount, but then Tiger Shroff was considered a bankable star with fans adoring his action sequences and dancing skills.

Bollywood Hungama reported that the producers have asked Tiger Shroff to cut his fee by 50 percent and charge somewhere in the range of Rs 17-20 crore per film. As we know Bollywood is dealing with recession. Also, there is a #BoycottBollywood trend on social media which is hurting the films negatively. The portal reported that the producers felt it was pointless to pay such a high fee to Tiger Shroff. He seems to have understood and decided to reduce his fee to Rs 25 crore. A trade source told Bollywood Hungama that even Akshay Kumar and Ali Abbas Zafar have reduced their fees. Tiger Shroff is backing producers Jackky and Vashu Bhagnani for the film. The trade source was quoted as saying, “The process of him signing the films has been delayed because most of the producers are not in sync with the amount he is demanding.”

The source said other producers are also negotiating fees with Tiger Shroff. Usually he charges Rs 17 to 22 crores. He said he only needed one shot to get back into the industry. He was quoted as saying: “One punch and the Tiger will roar again. It is only a matter of time before the industry realizes that ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. He said that things will get back to normal once the films start working. Everyone in Bollywood is facing recession and down period.
