They seem to have complained of many written and verbal threats from similar groups warning them not to show the film. Bajrang Dal workers tore down posters at a mall in Vastrapur a few days ago. Many people condemned the incident. Something similar happened even during the release of Padmavaat. The film did not release in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The Boycott Bollywood gang has targeted Pathaan since day one.
