Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar released yesterday. The makers tried to cash in on the Holi festival. The Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer hit the theaters during the Holi festival and I guess the magic worked. The film received acclaim from critics and audiences alike. On social media, fans just couldn’t stop praising the film and the stars. After a long time, a romantic comedy hit the theaters and fans seem to have thoroughly enjoyed the film. Its effect can be seen in the box office numbers of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
As reported by Ormax Media, Luv Ranjan’s film is expected to collect approximately Rs 10.4 crore on its opening day. These are just the predictions giving the hype and the actual numbers are yet to emerge. However, if Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar manages to do the said figure, it will get a much better start than the Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon Shehzada film. Considering the positive word of mouth, it is quite possible that Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will get an above average opening day.
Well of course the numbers are much lower than Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pataan. It remains not only the highest grossing film of that year, but also in the history of Indian cinema, it stands at the top. The benchmark has been set very high by Pathaan and may not be broken by Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. But Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor can expect a hit. The stars have promoted the film extensively and now it’s all in the hands of the audience. Let’s wait and see what happens in the box office game.
