Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Jailer is making all the right noises. Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is slated to hit the screens on August 10. The first two songs of the film, Kaavaalaa and Hukum, are already storming the top charts. Now, as the film nears its release, a supposed rumor surrounding the film has gone viral on the internet. According to various media reports, screenshots have been doing the rounds on social media bearing the much-awaited plot and runtime of Jailer.
Plot and running time of the jailer
If we look at the screenshots, it is clear that the plot of Jailer will revolve around a prison warden, Rajinikanth will play the titular role of Muthuvel Pandian, a powerful warden in the film. When a terrible gang tries to sneak into the prison premises to free their leader who is behind bars, it will be Rajinikanth’s Muthuvel Pandian, a formidable force who will be a major obstacle to the gang’s illegal mission. Rajinikanth is expected to blow our minds with his dynamic and dashing persona in Jailer, engaging in a dangerous battle with the gang. Reports also claim that the film will be almost 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
Dungeon songs
The music of Jailer is sung by talented composer Anirudh Ravichander. He has already had us rocking to the beats of Kaavaalaa featuring Tamannaah Bhatia in a captivating desi avatar. Apart from her brilliant dance moves, Tamannaah’s looks have been compared to singing sensation Shakira. The second song of Jailer Hukum also turned out to be a worm, featuring Rajinikanth in his typical stylish avatar.
Jailer audio and trailer release
According to media reports, the audio and trailer launch of Jailer will be released on July 28 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. While Anirudh Ravichander is all set to perform live at the event, Rajinikanth is likely to meet his fans after a long time. Apart from Rajinikanth, Jailer has an ensemble cast of Tamannaah Bhatia, Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal and Ramya Krishnan in important roles. The pan-Indian action entertainer will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
About Lal Salam
Rajinikanth also recently wrapped up shooting for his portions of another drama film Lal Salaam, helmed by his daughter director Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth. Rajinikanth’s first look in a long coat, sunglasses and sporting a red Nehru cap received mixed reviews. Lal Salaam is expected to hit the silver screens sometime this year.
