The edited version of the Rajinikanth film will hit theaters from September 1

There is no other star like it Rajinikanth and he proved the same with his latest release jailer. The film directed by Nelson Dilipkumar turned out to be one of the biggest blockbuster hits of 2023. Jailer has reportedly become the second highest grossing Tamil film as it entered the Rs 600 crore club with its worldwide collection. But after almost 18 days of its release, the makers have decided to make a small change in the film. This is because of the court case that took place between Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited and the production house Sun Pictures. According to a report in Bar And Bench, Sun Pictures has decided to digitally alter a scene that has a contract killer wearing an RCB jersey. According to the report, the IPL team’s legal counsel claimed that the scene with a contract killer wearing the jersey and making derogatory remarks could affect the brand equity. The parties decided to settle the matter out of court and Sun Pictures assured the Delhi court that the necessary change would be made. The production house has promised that changes to the theatrical version of the film will be made by September 1. The modified version will also be made available for TV, satellite or any version of the Over-The-Top (OTT) platform as and when Happens. The order of the court of jailer

Part of the court’s order reads: “Defendants and all parties acting for or on their behalf, including their distribution network, are bound by the above terms and conditions. From September 1, 2023, the Jailer movie theatrical release will have the RCB team shirt edited/changed. The defendants warrant that after September 1, 2023, none of the cinemas will display the RCB jersey in any form. jailer also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Mirna Menon, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and many more. The film released on August 10 and despite competition from big Bollywood films like Bridge 2 and Oh my god 2, jailer still managed to collect great results at the box office. And it’s still going strong.
