After just a single season in the Premier League, Watford suffered relegation back to the Championship at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
Since then, the Hornets have endured a mixed start to life back in the second-tier, under new head coach Rob Edwards.

When you think of well known Watford fans, it is likely that your mind is likely to immediately go to Elton John.
The world renowned and multi-award winning singer is of course, a previous owner and chairman of the the club, having overseen their rise through the leagues in the 70s and 80s.
Despite stepping down as chairman in 2002, the performer still remains heavily connected to the club, stepping in to help fundraise for the club in order to keep them in business while facing financial trouble in previous years.

Anthony Joshua
Elsewhere in the sporting world, another big name who Watford can count among their followers, is Anthony Joshua.
The two-time heavyweight world Boxing champion – and 2012 Gold Olympic Gold Medallist – grew up in Watford, and as such considers himself a fan of the club.
Indeed, Joshua considers Watford legend Troy Deeney consider each other to be friends, and they have previously trained together before fights.
Geri Horner
The Hornets can also count on some high profile support from the world of music as well, thanks to Geri Halliwell.
A former Spice Girls, Horner was born in Watford, so it is perhaps no surprise that she is a follower of the Vicarage Road club.
Indeed, the singer has previosly been known to post here thoughts on the club out on Twitter, showing her passion for Watford in the process.
