Raksha Bandhan had a weaker than expected start at the box office on day 1 and dipped further on day 2. The advance booking was not promising to begin with and the lack of interest was evident from day one itself. ₹8.10 crore net opening which Akshay kumar and Bhumi Pednekar lead role sent shockwaves through the trade and film industry and the second day collection of 6.20 crore nett only added to the said shockwaves. If Raksha Bandhan had any hope of recovery, needed a big jump today, day 3, Saturday, August 13. Well, growth has come, but it is still not as high as desired.
Raksha Bandhan box office collection day 3 prediction
Raksha Bandhan is another big ticket Bollywood biggie, which rocked the entertainment news trade, but thankfully, the film at least managed a small jump of 25% on Day 3. The thing is, that jump isn’t enough due to Friday’s massive drop. The film is heading towards around Rs 8-8.50 crore nett on Day 3, similar to Day 1, taking its total to around Rs 22-23 crore nett so far – far from enough after 3 days considering its budget and the main actor. While the chances of the film even breaking even are very slim at this stage, if it is to do so, it will have to see huge spikes on Sunday and the big Independence Day rest on Monday.
Raksha Bandhan continues to play in only a few centres…
The biggest problem is that Raksha Bandhan has picked up only in a few mass belts like Gujarat, CI and Rajasthan, while other core Hindi belts continue to underperform, and when it comes to metros and high-end multiplexes in other territories, the numbers continue to rise remain almost non-existent for Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
