Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]September 21 (ANI): Aditya Thackeray has slammed Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde over a newspaper advertisement seeking civil engineers for the Mumbai waterfront project.
Thackeray questioned Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s visit to Delhi and said his visit appeared to be for personal reasons only. He wondered why interviews related to jobs related to the Versova-Bandra Sealink were held in Chennai and not in Mumbai. The advertisements mention that the candidates will be interviewed in Chennai on 25th September
Aditya questioned whether the state government would provide tickets for Maharashtra youth who wish to attend interviews outside the state. Aditya added that the delay in the Varasova-Bandra C-Link project has deprived the local youth of jobs and that the government intends to bring in engineers and workers from neighboring states.
“Maharashtra has been pushed towards economic isolation by the present distribution. This engineer ad is for interviews in another state, for a job that has been stuck in Mumbai for a long time. Why are there no interviews in any of the cities of Maharashtra? CM aware of his own department?” Thackeray tweeted. (ANI)
