Baahubali is one of the cult films that the Indian film industry has churned out. SS Rajamoulithe visionary featuring cast Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and others left everyone in awe with their amazing acting skills. Today marks 7 years since the release of Baahubali: The Beginning. And the lead actress from the first film, Tamannaah took to her Twitter handle to celebrate the same.
Tamannaah celebrates 7 years of Baahubali
Gorgeous beauty Tamannaah Bhatia has shared some stills from the sets of Baahubali. The film starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty is indeed very close to her heart. Tamannaah wrote a heartfelt note which read, “Even after 7 years when people call me Avantika, it feels surreal. I feel proud to be a part of a film franchise that has made an impact across the globe.” Tamannaah played the role of Avantika, who was a resident of Kuntala and a seasoned fighter. The epic action film has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 180 crore. It went on to do a business of around Rs 600-650 crore. It was a huge hit among the masses across the country and also achieved great success outside India. Prabhas became a household name after the release and made him a pan-Indian star. Prabhas plays a double role in Baahubali. Avantika was paired opposite Prabhas’ Mahendra Baahubali aka Sivudu in the film.
It credits Baahubali for blurring regional boundaries
Earlier in an interview, Tamannaah admitted that Baahubali is blurring regional boundaries. She said, “Baahubali had this reach that put India in front of the world. It brought us global recognition. It was encouraging. If you feel motivated and your work is praised, you want to do more of it.”
