Aamir Khan‘c Laal Singh Chadha and Akshay Kumar‘c Raksha Bandhan are releasing on August 11, 2022. These are two of Bollywood’s biggest releases. Akshay and Aamir deliver two very different films with very close messages to the audience. However, lately this culture of canceling and boycotting the Bollywood movie has been a trend. #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha and #BoycottRakshaBandhan have been trending on Twitter for the past few weeks. And now, Suniel Shetty came out in support of both the films and the stars.
Boycott against Laal Singh Chadha and Akshay Kumar
Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar are trending in the entertainment news for the upcoming release of their film, Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Although the two stars have gone all out for promotions and films carrying good messages, they are trending in the news as netizens are calling for a boycott of Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Aamir Khan has faced criticism as some consider him and his films anti-national. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s film has been called for a boycott due to alleged Hinduphobic tweets by writer Kanika Dhillon.
Suniel Shetty lends support to Aamir and Akshay
Suniel Shetty has now extended support for both movies and stars. While talking to ETimes, Suniel called it all “unfair”. He adds that everyone works hard to make his films do well. Talking about Aamir, he said that if an actor wants, he can easily do 5 films in a year, but he chooses to do only one film. He says it demands respect. On the other hand, while talking about Akshay Kumar, Suniel said that he puts in a lot of effort to entertain the audience with multiple films every year. He further added, “I hate this #BoycottBollywood campaign going on on Twitter. I always pray that she will stop because we are an industry too and there are a lot of people who feed off of us.” The handsome actor adds that he prays that better sense will prevail among the masses who understand the hard work and dedication of many people, who are behind the creation of a film. He says he hopes Laal Singh Chadha and Raksha Bandhan are doing good business.
