TVF is a brand that has long offered homey, laid-back, slice-of-life web series long before the term web series even became popular on other, larger Indian OTT platforms. After integrating with the aforementioned OTT platforms, their shows have indeed gained a wider audience, but the spirit of their content remains the same. One of their most important shows that put them on the map is Tripling. So, with Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo, Amol Parashar returning for Triple 3, does it retain the same taste and is there something fresh added? Well, the answer to both questions is yes. Here’s my full one Triple 3 web series review

What are you talking about

Triplings Season 3 sees Chandan (Sumeet Vyas), Chanchal (Maanvi Gagroo) and Chitvan (Amol Parashar)’s parents (Kumud Mishra and Shernaz Patel) seek a divorce, sending the siblings’ world into chaos, after which they take their parents on a road trip in a last ditch effort to keep them from splitting up.

What’s new

The jokes and gags all mostly hit the mark. The exploration of family dynamics makes up for the fun whenever needed, especially when the dysfunctional turns emotional. The performances of Sumeet Vyas, Maanvi Gagroo, Amol Parashar, Kumud Mishra and Shernaz Patel are on the money. The production values are better than the previous seasons and most of all Sumeet Vyas and Arunabh Kumar’s writing ensures that neither the audience nor the cast of the show lose sight of why the show became so loved in the first place while ensuring that longtime fans have something new to look forward to.

What is not

While packing things into 5 episodes is always welcome for any show, doing it by rushing things towards the end when an extra episode could easily have been easy to avoid. What’s more, the family-wide focus on the sibling relationship that forms the ethos of Triplings may prove to be something that makes die-hard fans slightly angry.
