Suchitra Krishnamurthy, who came into the limelight with her performance in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, openly criticized her ex-husband and filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor and Preity Zinta in a recent interview. The two reportedly got married in 1999 and Shekhar Kapoor is 28 years older than Suchitra. However, their relationship failed to survive and the couple divorced in 2007, after which she blamed actress Preity Zinta for her divorce.

Due to various problems in their marriage, the couple separated from each other. They also have a daughter named Kaveri and they are both parents to her. Suchitra also blamed Preity Zinta for her failed marriage. In a recent interview, Suchitra said, “I don’t need to forgive her. She is not part of my consciousness at all. All those things don’t exist for me, and it’s a good place to be.”
Earlier in her blogs, she had clearly mentioned that Shekhar Kapur cheated on her with Preity Zinta. She also revealed that Preity had called her and clarified her stand that she is not a wrecker and has nothing to do with Shekhar Kapur.
Responding to Suchitra’s earlier claims, Preity responded in an interview saying, “It’s unfortunate that I’m carrying the burden of someone else’s paranoia. She is obviously unstable and I wish her a speedy recovery.
In the same interview, Suchitra also revealed that her husband does not want her to work in films. She said he thinks people get corrupted when they work in show business. She also added that she missed stardom and learned a lot from her very painful and difficult marriage.
Shekhar Kapoor reacts to cheating allegations
Responding to Suchitra’s allegations of cheating, director Shekhar Kapur penned an emotional poem on social media. He writes: “I am jealous and greedy and angry and hurt and love and hate, want good but manipulate. I strive to be compassionate to be creative to be whole to be infinite I am also spiritual I am two but one must live with the other in compassion with forgiveness until I am only one but until then I must learn to be two Still I’m only human.”
