Special Forces, which will air on FOX, the same network that airs The Masked Singer, does differ slightly from other reality show as there are no votes or eliminations. Instead, to make it through this show, the celebrity contestants just need to survive. However, this does not mean that the celebrities are safe from leaving as they can still be disqualified because of injuries, they are allowed to quit, and they can also be asked to leave by a trainer. Only the strongest, both mentally and physically, will survive.

The Special Forces cast is composed of a wide variety of people such as actors, singers, politicos and reality stars. EW announced that the Special Forces season 1 cast will include Kate Gosselin from Jon & Kate Plus 8, who hasn’t appeared on TV since 2019. Businessman and former White House Director Of Communications Anthony Scaramucci as well as Olympian Gus Kenworthy and singer Montell Jordan will also be appearing on Special Forces. Additionally, viewers will be seeing Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn Spears, who is also an actress and singer, try her hand at survival.

Additionally, Mel B from the Spice Girls has joined the Special Forces cast, as have chef Tyler Florence, 7th Heaven‘s Beverley Mitchell, Danny Amendola, The Bachelorette‘s Hannah Brown and the NBA’s Dwight Howard. Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin and Olympic soccer player Carli Lloyd will also be training on Special Forces alongside the other celebrities. Kenya Moore from The Real Housewives of Atlanta has also been announced to appear on the show, as well as MLB player Mike Piazza. Rounding out the cast of celebrities is none other than Dr. Drew.

With a cast full of well-known celebrities, and an intense concept, Special Forces is going to be very interesting to watch. This is going to be the most authentic test of endurance there is, and if they don’t have the mental strength, the physical strength won’t matter. Seeing how these celebrities, who are used to living a lavish life full of pampering, learn to cope with and go through a rigorous and physically challenging process is definitely going to make Special Forces: The Ultimate Test a fan-favorite in no time, alongside other grueling shows like Survivor and The Challenge.
