Popular Kannada film actor Chiranjeevi Sarja died at the age of 39 after a cardiac arrest in June 2020. His wife Meghana Raj Sarja was pregnant with their child at the time. She gave birth to a baby boy in October 2020 and named him Raayan Raj Sarja. In a new interview, Meghan revealed her life after the death of her husband. She also spoke about some trolls who accused her of forgetting Chiranjeevi after his death.
Recalling the fateful day when Chiranjeevi passed away, Meghana told Bollywood Bubble, “I saw life and death within five months. I think the trauma was not welcome at first, it just happened and it took me a while to deal with it. More important is when the accident happened, I don’t know how, medically or biologically how it happens, I don’t know, but maternal instincts kick in very soon. I said this earlier that the first thing I did after hearing the news was call my gynecologist. As I had to keep the most precious thing in Chiru and that is our child. I will do anything in this world, anything under heaven, to make sure Ryan is okay.”
During the conversation, Meghana said that she never faced any negativity for anything she did after Chiranjeevi’s death. She said that Chiru magically protected her and if it wasn’t for Ryan, she would probably have gotten all the negativity in the world. However, she recently came across a troll who said she had forgotten Chiranjeevi after his death when she shared a video of herself eating a burger.
“There’s not an equal share, but a smaller percentage of people who have tried to push me. Just recently I had put up a post like when I was eating something I was eating burgers like I was constantly eating so it was my binge day and it was a random decision to put it on social media. Then a few random comments saying “oh so you don’t remember Chiru at all anymore” Like I don’t have to prove it to you bro, I really don’t have to prove it to you if I remember it, I think from his side it’s entirely up to me. I don’t have to post every day saying I’m doing this, eating this, remembering this person, following this person or doing this, I don’t have to. I have no legal contract with anyone to do this,” she said.
Chiranjeevi Sarja married Canadian actress Meghana Raj in 2018. She is the daughter of Pramila Joshay and Sundar Raj. Chiranjeevi is also the nephew of the famous multilingual South Indian actor Arjun Saja. Starting his career in 2009 with Vayupatra, Chiranjeevi has acted in 22 Sandalwood films, including Shivarjuna, which was released weeks before the March 2020 Covid-19 lockdown.
