Showcase Cinemas Hosting “The Art of Movies” Benefit This Sunday at the new Showcase Cinema De LUX in Hanover

This weekend Showcase Cinemas will host its first benefit event at the brand-new Showcase Cinemas de Lux Hanover Crossing to celebrate “the art of movies” in partnership with the Scituate Arts Association (SAA).  The “Showcase the Art of the Movies” benefit reception, will feature more than twenty-five works of movie-inspired art created by South-shore artists that will be auctioned off to benefit the SAA. The event will take place from 1:30-4:30 pm on Sunday, December 4th at the Showcase Cinema de LUX at Hanover Crossing.

The auction is set to conclude at the benefit reception, followed by a film screening of Steven Spielberg’s highly anticipated film “The Fabelmans.” Tickets are only $10 (including the film screening), and the public is invited to come out to support this great cause and to check out the South Shore’s newest and most technologically-advanced movie theater.

The SAA’s mission supports the discovery of art throughout the South- shore community, the SAA’s cooperative Front Street Art Gallery in Scituate Harbor, stewardship of the historic Ellis House as well as hosting numerous art-related events, classes and workshops throughout the year.
