It has been so long that a Marvel outing has made one laugh out loud and appreciate the story at the same time. She-Hulk is sassy, sarcastic, intelligent and ambitious. She doesn’t settle for less and she won’t bow down just because she became a superhero by accident

The whole thing is enormously funny and has such confidence, style and brio that it is impossible not to love it. It is superbly paced and has a satisfying case-of-the-week story every time.Watching it is like going on holiday for half an hour.

Much of the humour on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law takes the form of Walters speaking to the audience, as she comments on what others have said or what’s happening around her. At times, Walters talks to us as if she’s like one of us — a She-Hulk viewer herself. It’s a blatant attempt to have your cake and eat it too, and unfortunately, the ingredients of the newest MCU series can be pretty mundane at times.

It’s interesting to see Marvel Studios take a different approach to all their MCU Disney+ shows, and with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law they seem to have tried their hand at producing an amiable and inoffensive sitcom. Episode one is different to the rest, and sticks to Jen’s origin story before the series becomes its true procedural self.
