BURLINGTON, MASS. – Changes are coming to Keurig Dr Pepper’s leadership team as Ozan Dokmechioglu prepares to take over as CEO on July 29. Bob Gamgort, current chairman and CEO, said he was stepping down as CEO this past April.

Derek Hopkins, president of cold beverages, is leaving the company at the end of the year. His role will be split into two positions — president of merchandising and president of cold beverages, according to the company. Andrew Archambault, currently serving as chief customer officer, has been promoted to president of sales, effective August 1. A search is underway for a new President of Cold Beverages.

Mauricio Leyva, who joined the company in 2020 and is currently president of coffee, will take on an expanded role as group president on August 1. In the new role, Mr. Leyva will continue to lead coffee and add responsibility for the international business previously led by Mr. Dokmecioglu, as well as the continued development of Keurig Dr Pepper’s digitalization efforts.

David Thomas, chief research and development officer, will step down from the company following the appointment of his successor. His replacement is being sought.

Prior to Mr. Dokmechioglu’s promotion, he was Chief Financial Officer. While the company searches for his replacement, George Lagoudakis, currently senior vice president of finance for cold beverages, will fill the role on an interim basis.
