On January 25, 2023, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a triumphant return to the big screen in the starring role of Pathaan, shattering box office records. This is his first starring part since 2018’s Zero, while he has been in several projects and cameos in recent years. Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana, and Dimple Kapadia are all featured in the movie.

However, the actor has struggled with box office failures, including Jab Harry Met Sejal, Fan, and Zero. However, Shah Rukh Khan still needs to remember the difficulties of the previous four years because of Pathaan’s phenomenal performance. Shah Rukh Khan spoke about the last four years at the success news conference meeting on Monday,  “The four years that I had… Covid had good and bad parts. I didn’t work. I was with my children. I saw them grow up. My last film had not worked and people had said my movies now won’t work. So, I thought of an alternate career: cooking Italian.”

He said, “In just four days, I’ve forgotten my last four years.” Shah Rukh Khan continued, “The three of us didn’t meet the media. We shot it (Pathaan) during Covid-19. We worked very hard. So, we were intensely in work mode. Thank you for supporting the film so much, in spite of the fact that there might have been things that would have helped curtail the happy release of this film. I just want to say there’s so much love from all sides and we can never show enough gratefulness. We thank you on behalf of the film industry for bringing life back to cinemas.”

Threats were made against the movie Pathaan because Deepika Padukone wore a saffron bathing costume in the song “Besharam Rang.” Calls for a boycott were made, posters were burned, theaters were threatened, and more.

The movie, directed by Siddharth Anand of War renown, is currently playing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu theaters.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan will start shooting again on February 1, 2023, for Atlee Kumar’s Jawan.
