Pooja Bhatt addresses the rumors regarding Alia Bhatt’s parentage. During a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, the Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin actress reacted to the wild speculation that Alia Bhatt is her daughter. Prior to Pooja’s response, she was informed about Alia Bhatt joking about these rumors. When asked for her reaction, Pooja described these rumors as “absurd” and suggested that they reveal more about the individuals spreading them than the subject of the rumor.
“This is not new in our country,” Pooja remarked. “People start discussing somebody’s relationship with their daughter, sister-in-law, sister, or any such thing. How do you dignify a response to that? It is absurd.”
In the same interview, Pooja also discussed her bond with Alia Bhatt and mentioned receiving a call from the actress after her exit from the Bigg Boss house. Alia expressed feeling closer to Pooja after watching the show, as she was a dedicated viewer of Bigg Boss OTT 2.
For those unaware, Pooja Bhatt is the eldest daughter of veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt from his first marriage to Kiran Bhatt. She also has a brother named Rahul Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt later married Soni Razdan in 1986, and they have two daughters together, Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt.
Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt share a significant age difference of 21 years.
