Host Swanandi Tikekar asked Ashok Saraf to talk about his casting in Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit starrer Koyla and he said, “You would not believe that I was the first one who got cast in the film Koyla. Nobody was cast, not even Shah Rukh and Madhuri but I was the first one”.
Ashok Saraf further spoke about his bond with SRK and talked about his working style in Bollywood films. Ashok said, “I have never seen such a hardworking actor. I had told him during the shooting of Koyla that Shah Rukh ek scene mein thoda mujhe problem lagg raha hai and he immediately got ready and said ‘Ha chalo karte hai na..rehearse karte hai aur ek baar’.
Ashok Saraf further spoke about SRK’s habit that makes him an achiever. He said, “Shah Rukh takes a lot of effort to make a scene look beautiful on-screen. He has a really nice habit that he keeps rehearsing a thousand times until he gives a perfect shot. I have experienced this habit in all our four films. SRK has reached a certain level now. He has not gotten in easily, he has done a lot of hard work in his career to achieve that. He ignores other things when it comes to hard work and that is why he has at this stage today.”
Ashok Saraf later said that he is really happy that all his films in which SRK played the lead were superhit films. He said, “I have done four films with Shah Rukh Khan including Yes Boss, Koyla, Karan Arjun and Guddu and I am really happy and proud today that our all four films are superhit).
