The much awaited and highly anticipated movie of the year Pathaan is nearing its mega release. The team just promoted the film through the trailer and songs which is quite enough for the film to do a record business just through advance booking. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the actioner has a patriotic side to the story starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Ahead of the premiere of the high-octane thriller, SRK is all praise for his co-star John Abraham.
The makers had a chat session with the superstar and shared the video on Yash Raj Films official Twitter. Bollywood’s Badshah shares his experience of working with John Abraham and reveals that he is a gentle giant. This is the duo’s first film together, but they have known each other since King Khan moved to Mumbai. Han revealed that John was one of his first friends or first acquaintances with whom he later became friends. He further added that the actor is very shy, very quiet and very private.
Shah Rukh Khan says it was good to work with John Abraham, who plays the antagonist in the film, and realized that he is a gentle giant. The actor shared an anecdote where he had to do a lot of convincing for John to hit him for the scene as he didn’t want to hurt SRK by calling him a national treasure.
It takes a lot of guts to play a bad guy when you’re a nice character, the superstar said. He has a deep respect for John, who owns franchises where there are great action movies. SRK added that John is a top star and heroes don’t play bad guys. The actor also stated that the Force actor is experienced in actions and helped him look good. Shah Rukh Khan hopes that when Pathaan comes out, one of the most loved characters, it is indeed John’s.
Pathaan is Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe under the Yash Raj Films banner. The action movie will release on 25 January 2023 in Hindi Tamil and Telugu.
