‘Reha is Amitabh Bachchan’s girlfriend’ as Yash Chopra makes a startling revelation

Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha’s alleged affair is the most talked about extramarital affair in tinsel town. Till date, Rekha has left many wondering who she wears the sindoor for if she is not married, and everyone knows the answer but is never ready to talk about it. But one person dared and made this startling revelation in front of the whole world and it is none other than Yash Chopra who managed to bring the three together in his film and even showed the real phase of their lives. In Yash Chopra’s Silsila, Amitabh Bachchan plays Jaya Bachchan’s husband and has an extramarital affair with Rekha, while she was married to Sanjeev in the film. Yash Chopra, in one of his interviews with BBC, told the whole story about Amitabh Bachchan’s relationship with Rekha while he was married to Jaya Bachchan. “I was always on guard and scared (during Silsila) because real life was coming into reel life. Jaya is his wife and Rekha is his girlfriend; the same story happens (in real life). Yash Chopra further added, “When a man and a woman do romantic scenes, it’s impossible not to get into a relationship – in the past it wasn’t so open, but today it is. Rekha has admitted that she is in a relationship with Amitabh Bachchan.

Rekha in her biography ‘The Untold Story’ mentions how Amitabh Bachchan broke all ties with her. “I watched the whole thing once [Bachchan] family across the screening room when they came to see the trial show of Muqaddar Ka Sikandar. Jaya sat in the front row and he and his parents were in the row behind her. They couldn’t see her as clearly as I could. And during our love scenes, I could see tears running down her face. A week later [after the trial show of Muqaddar Ka Sikandar], everyone in the industry was telling me that he had made it clear to his producers that he wasn’t going to work with me. Everyone else informed me about it, but he didn’t say a word on the subject. When I tried to question him about it, he said, “I won’t say a word. Don’t ask me about that.”

A few years ago, Reko admitted that she was madly in love with Amitabh Bachchan and he was the only man she had ever loved. Some love stories don’t have a happy ending.
