Ranbir Kapoor is among the Bollywood stars who have fallen victim to the Boycott Bollywood trend. Before his big releases like Shamshera and Brahmastra, Ranbir Kapoor was on top. Now he is gearing up for the release of his next big film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film also stars Shraddha Kapoor. The stars are doing their best to promote the film. In one of the recent interactions, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about the Boycott Bollywood trend.
Ranbir Kapoor BREAKS SILENCE on Boycott Bollywood trend
The Brahmastra actor said he finds the trend baseless. Ranbir Kapoor mentioned that he doesn’t understand this boycott culture as no one is doing anything wrong. Movies are made for entertainment purpose so that people can forget their worries and have a good time. Movies aren’t about saving the world, he said. He further added, “I didn’t understand this whole boycott because nobody’s doing anything wrong, everybody’s trying to be the best version of themselves and provide entertainment, that’s what we’re here for and nothing else.”
During promotions, Ranbir Kapoor also spoke candidly about his daughter Raha Kapoor. On The Kapil Sharma Show, he said that sometimes Raha looks like him, while at times the little one looks like mother Alia.
Will Tu JhoothiMain Makkar be a hit?
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar releases on March 8, 2023. Although Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt was a hit, his film Shamshera failed miserably. Now it remains to be seen whether the actor will be able to make a hit in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Going by the trailer, the film seems to be a complete entertainment package for all. It has comedy and romance in perfect ratio. The songs are also already a hit. Will Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor manage to give it another shot? Let’s wait and see.
