At 1995, Ramarao On Duty began in Horsely Hills, Chittoor. Suddenly, the narrative jumps to a flashback of officer Rama Rao. Ramarao, the most upright and innovative officer, is sent to a village. A lost red sander maal is being sought after by CI venu Thottempudi. Rajisha Vijayan, Rama’s former girlfriend, reports her husband missing. Ramarao assures that he will return. The narrative shifts to a flashback. Ramarao begins looking into a missing person case but soon learns there is more going on. Rama reaches mangalore with his investigation. Deputy collector Ramarao transformed entirely into a police detective. A senior police officer is involved in the probe. The movie concludes with pushpa and vikram leaving room for a sequel.
Ramarao On Duty’s first half is filled with filler scenes for a considerable amount of time. Around the pre-intermission point, the main missing persons investigation drama of the film begins. The song by venu thottempudi doesn’t have much of an impact. It is boring and only occasionally appealing. To deliver, the second half is now essential. But, the second half was a complete misfire.
Overall a Completely Lackluster movie that is neither a proper thriller nor does it have any commercial elements.
