Raju Srivastava’s health seems to have deteriorated on Wednesday evening. His chief counsel Ajith Saxena informed the media that doctors at AIIMS, New Delhi have said that the comedian is almost brain dead and his heart is also having problems. On Thursday, Raju’s advisor told Aaj Tak, “This morning, the doctors said that Raju’s brain is not working, almost in a dead state. The heart also has problems. We are all worried and everyone is praying. On the other hand, Raju Maqbool’s manager told News18 that the comedian’s condition was critical on Wednesday evening after his brain nerves were found swollen and there was water on the brain. He said the doctors have brought the situation under control and he is now better, but he cannot be given heavy drugs because of his heart problems. He added that Raju is still on ventilator and has not regained consciousness. Last Wednesday, Raju suffered a heart attack while running on a treadmill at the gym. There were claims that he overworked himself in the gym, but his nephew Kushal Srivastava denied such claims. He asked the comedian’s fans not to disturb the family and asked their well-wisher to refrain from sending messages to the family.

He also asked everyone to stop spreading rumors about Srivastava’s condition. He said: “There are also rumors that he was exercising too much the day he had the heart attack, which is unfounded. He always ran on a treadmill, never indulged in heavy lifting. He was doing his daily exercises.”
