Tamil cinema audiences have always welcomed quality content with open hands and encouraged filmmakers. The friendly cinema industry has also welcomed films from other industries and given them a thumbs up. Malayalam cinema and Tamil cinema share a great bond. Kollywood has remade several noteworthy films from Malayalam cinema and vice versa. Not just that, several dubbed releases have also received a great reception. ‘Pulimurugan’

Mohanlal’s starrer ‘Pulimurgan’ was released in theatres in October 2016, and the Malayalam film emerged as one of the actor’s biggest hits. The mass masala entertainer was then dubbed in multiple languages, including Tamil, for release in theatres. The ‘Pulimurugan’ Tamil version also had the same title, and the Tamil-dubbed release grossed great numbers at the Tamil Nadu box office.

‘Forensic’

The 2020 Malayalam psychothriller ‘Forensic’ features Tovino Thomas in the lead role, and the film opened with positive reviews and developed into a box office hit. The makers of ‘Forensic’ then released the film’s Tamil-dubbed version, but it didn’t go well in theatres. However, the Tamil-dubbed version is a huge hit on digital and satellite platforms.

The global box office collection of the film looks powerful, and it has become the fastest Malayalam film to reach Rs 100 crore. The successful Malayalam film is now dubbed in Tamil, and the dubbed version of the survival thriller is gearing up to release in theatres.
