The actress was recently in India and was snapped by shutterbugs. A video went viral in which she could be seen apologizing to the popes for not being able to wait and pose for photos as she was running late for a flight. Later we see a disabled man following her car. On a busy street, the disabled man could be seen knocking on her car door and following her. Paps could be heard laughing in the background. Now Preity Zinta has come out with a statement regarding the incident.
Preity Zinta shaken by two embarrassing incidents
Taking to Twitter, she shared a lengthy note in which she shared two incidents that happened during the week that shocked her. The first was when a woman tried to click pictures of her daughter despite the actress asking for privacy. In the note, she wrote that the woman suddenly grabbed her daughter and kissed the little one. The second incident is about the disabled man. In the statement, Preity Zinta wrote that over the years this man harassed her for money and whenever she could give, she gave him cash. But this time she didn’t have cash, just a credit card. Therefore, she could not give him money, but the lady accompanying the actress did. However, the disabled man returned the money to her, as it was not enough and became aggressive.
Preity Zinta in the long note criticized the paparazzi for laughing and filming the incident instead of helping. She also wrote that if the man had been injured, she would have been charged given her celebrity status. She also wrote that she has an equal right to live in this country the way she wants without being judged and that there are always two sides to a story. She wrote: “I think it’s about time people realized I’m a human being first, a mother second and a celebrity second. Also, I don’t have to constantly apologize for my success and be bullied for it because I’ve worked so hard to get where I am.”
