Prabhas is gearing up for the release of his upcoming most awaited film Kalki 2898 AD. The film was earlier titled Project K and is still well known by the same title. The hype surrounding Project K was so much that people took time to accept the new title Kalki 2898 AD and realize that both the films are not different. After the failure of the big budget mythological drama Adipurush Prabhas will be back with the Nag Ashwin directorial. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and her co-star is full of praise for her.
Creators release major updates one by one. By revealing the first look, changing the title and releasing a sneak peek, the makers are ramping up the excitement. A few weeks ago, the first look of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). The event was attended by director Nag Ashwin, producer C Aswani Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies and actors Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. Deepika Padukone was absent among other actors including Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani.
While Deepika Padukone was missing from the big event, Prabhas spoke highly of her. The two actors from the southern film industry and Bollywood will be sharing the screen for the first time. They have not collaborated on any project before. When asked about his co-star, the Baahubali actor was full of praise and couldn’t stop praising her. He even called her the biggest superstar and a beautiful lady making waves globally.
Speaking to Screen Rant, Prabhas said, “She is the biggest superstar and the most beautiful lady.” He also cited her international Louis Vuitton and TAM ADEX commercials, which he feels have already made her a global household name. He also added that when she comes to shoot, she is vibrant and he has always loved her. Prabhas expressed that he always wanted to work with DP and this is the first time he is working with her.
Director Nag Ashwin was also asked about the casting of Deepika Padukone. To this he replied that she is an important character and they haven’t fully seen Deepika’s character yet and with time they will probably understand why they cast her. Kalki 2898 AD is a science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwin. The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. The film is produced by the famous south production house Vyjayanthi Movies. Kalki 2898 AD is slated to hit theaters on January 12, 2024
