However, if you’re a poetry nerd, don’t bother picking this book up. What makes Tears For Water even more annoying than being way too easy to understand? Alicia Keys explains herself after every poem. A general rule of thumb in the world of poetry: explaining yourself is pointless. Don’t do it.
