New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge just made franchise and AL history with his 62nd single-season home run, and he’s garnered a lot of notable attention.

Everyone was celebrating New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge last night after his 62nd home run, setting the AL single-season record.

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrated Judge by quote Tweeting MLB’s video of the homer. He captioned it, “Congrats @TheJudge44 !!”

Former Yankees legend Derek Jeter also shared his congratulations and wrote, “Congrats @TheJudge44 on 62! Postseason next!!!”

Jeter isn’t the only former Yankee to congratulate him. Paul O’Neill shared, “What a thrill to see Aaron Judge make history…Congratulations!!! #AllRise.”

Even US President Joe Biden shared his warm words for Judge and wrote, “Congrats @TheJudge44 on home run 62. History made, more history to make.”

Judge is having an incredible impact on MLB right now. He’s bringing together so many people and fanbases with a potentially once-in-a-lifetime record set.

He set a record in the second to last game of the regular season, and he’s just beginning his prime.

Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is just hitting his prime

This is, hands down, the best season Judge has had. Over his seven-season career, he’s slashed .284/.394/.583 for an OPS of .977. He’s always been an incredible hitter, but he’s taken it to a completely new level this season.

This season, he’s hit a drastically better .311/.425/.686 for an OPS of 1.111. He leads the league in several hitting stats, including WAR (10.5), on-base percentage, slugging percentage and OPS, to name a few.

The 30-year-old still has several years to go before he’s out of his prime, so he’s likely just getting started now.
