Everyone loved Sajal Ali and Sridevi’s on-screen bond in Mom. Sajal is also in a relationship with Janhvi Kapoor, whom she met while she and Sridevi were shooting Mom. Sajal shares that she was very close to Sridevi and feels that the veteran actress has left us too soon. Sridevi passed away in 2018 due to unexpected circumstances. Sajjal says it is unfortunate that artistes have to suffer because of the political tension between the two countries. She says that Sridevi was very close to her and that they didn’t just share a working relationship with each other. Sajal remembers Sridevi meeting her mother when they came to India. Before Mom was released, her mother died. A few months later, Sridevi also passed away. Sajal remembers how they would talk for hours on the phone and the seasoned actress would guide her just like a mother. “I really miss her,” Sajal told the online entertainment portal.
Sajal Ali expresses desire to work in India again
Sajal Ali grabbed headlines in Entertainment News for opening up about his relationship with Sridevi. Sajal will be seen in What’s Love Got to Do with It? which also stars Shabana Azmi. The Shekhar Kapoor directorial is Sajal’s first film and she spoke to an Indian news portal. Sajal has expressed her desire to work in an Indian film, but is not sure when that will happen. Sajal says he has been talking about working in India for a long time. The actress believes that politics should stand between art and artists. “I hope yeh deewar jo India aur Pakistan ke beech mein hai khatam ho,” she says, Hindustan Times reported.
