Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha is currently keeping busy with the promotions of her forthcoming film Chatrapathi featuring alongside Sai Srinivas Bellamkonda. However, the actress recently shared her disheartenment towards not being a part of Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starrer Dream Girl 2 as she had been a prominent part of the first instalment.
Nushrratt Bharuccha hopes Dream Girl 2 does more than 200-300 crores; says, “It was disheartening to not be part…”
Talking to ETimes, Nushrrat said, “When you have done a film, which has been well received, you do get connected with it. Dream Girl is always going to have a special connection. Also, because Ayushmann was genuinely a delight to work with, he is someone whom I honestly call my closest friend from the movies business. He was the only person who called to check on me when I had fallen sick and had vertigo.”
She further added, “My director Raaj Shaandilyaa, with whom I also did Janhit Mein Jaari, is also very close to my heart. So, for me the whole set up and the whole team is special. Of course, it was disheartening to not be part of their second journey. But having said that, I wish the best to the film, and I am going to be cheering for them, watching the first day first show and hoping the film does more than 200-300 crores.”
Earlier Dream Girl 2 was set to hit theatres on July 7; however, the makers announced recently that the VFX part of the film is yet to be completed which led the film’s release date to get postponed. The film is now slated to hit theatres on August 25. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead role and directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Balaji Telefilms, Dream Girl 2 promises to be a laugh riot.
Meanwhile, on the work front, apart from Chatrapathi, Nushrratt will also be next seen in Chhorii 2 and Akelli.
