Nintendo Direct for Second Mario Movie Trailer Announced

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is getting another new trailer tomorrow.

According to a Tweet from Nintendo, the latest trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie will debut on November 29 at 2pm PT in the latest Nintendo Direct. There’s even a glimpse of Princess Peach’s throne room, too, possibly hinting at her appearance.

“Join us at 2:00 p.m. PT on 11/29 for the world premiere of The Super Mario Bros. Movie’s second trailer! No game information will be included in this #NintendoDirect.”

It sounds as though Nintendo is devoting the entire Nintendo Direct to The Super Mario Bros. Movie and won’t be announcing any new game info during this one.

After the film’s first trailer, this is surely going to be one to tune into.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie stars Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario, with an all-star voice cast including Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. Additionally, Kevin Michael Richardson will voice Kamek, Fred Armisen will voice Cranky Kong, and Sebastian Maniscalco will voice Foreman Spike.

Long-time Mario voice artist Charles Martinez will also appear in the movie in a series of cameos.

Although the first trailer seemed to go down well, the internet reacted appropriately to Chris Pratt’s Mario voice, which was revealed to be… err… Chris Pratt’s normal speaking voice.

Jack Black’s Bowser voice received a much more positive reception, with the actor growling lines from the movie at New York Comic Con earlier this year.

Whether or not the film’s next trailer will stir Mario fans into a frenzy remains to be seen, but if that glimpse of Peach’s throne room is anything to go by, it looks as though we’re in for a real treat.
