Naga Chaitanya says he and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have moved on but wouldn’t mind working together on screen

Last year in October, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their separation, which came as a big shock to the industry. However, the former couple never spoke about the reasons that led to their divorce. While Naga Chaitanya said that both have moved on with their lives, he would not mind working with Samantha in films together. During his recent interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Naga Chaitanya was asked if he would ever work with his ex-wife Samantha in films. To which the Laal Singh actor Chaddha replied with a laugh, “That will be crazy if it happens. But I don’t know, only the universe knows. In another interview, Naga also spoke about the reason behind keeping quiet about his breakup with Samantha. “Whatever we both wanted to say, we both made a statement about it. I’ve always done that with my personal life anyway. The things that I feel are extremely important to share and bring out, I let the media know about it, regardless whether it’s good or bad. I come out, I tell people about it through a statement and that’s it. In our case, Samantha has moved on, I’ve moved on and I don’t feel the need to inform the world about it, more than that,” he told TOI. He added: “My friends, family and the people who matter, they all know. And you see, news replaces news. All speculations and guesses are very tentative. The more I react to it, the more news it will make. So I’m just staying cool about it, letting it happen and it’ll all fade away hopefully.”

On Koffee With Karan 7, Samantha talks about bad feelings with her ex-husband, adding that their split was not amicable. “Yeah, I can’t complain about it because I chose to be transparent this time and when the breakup happened I couldn’t be too upset about it because they invested in my life. I had no answers at the time. it was hard but it’s ok now. I am stronger,” Samantha told Karan.

Samantha also admitted to feeling animosity towards Naga Chaitanya, saying, “There are bad feelings like if you put both of us in the same room, you have to hide sharp objects. So as of right now, yes. It’s not a friendly situation right now. may be in the future.”

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu fell in love in their first film Ye Maaya Chesave. They went on to star in Autonagar Surya, Majili, Oh! Baby, etc.
